This module has helped me think about self-directed learners and the role of differentiation in the following ways….
I took a closer look at the unit to see if we were meeting the different needs of all students. We actually found that we were using a wide variety of skills that met most needs of differentiated students. Also, we looked at how to accomodate gifted, special needs, and ELL to help the unit plan meet all needs. It was helpful to know and think about the different skills of each group and think about different activities or accommodation we can make for them.

Module 5
This module has helped me think about student-centered assessment in the following ways….
I now realize the challenges and some possible solutions that we can use with assessments. Students have more hands on with the project and criteria and will better understand their expectations and goals. I realize that it is important for students to be able to reflect on their work and see how they feel they are doing compared to others or to the sample project. Though it may be hard in the younger grades to do a self-reflection, I think it is possible if you give them a direct question to think about and answer.

Module 3 Reflection
This module has helped me think about the impact of the Internet on my students’ learning in the following ways….
I can see how there are various internet websites that are student friendly that can connect them with research tools as well as communication tools. Also, students can access pictures and virtual tools that give them a visual for the lesson or information they are collecting or researching.

Module 4 Reflection
How can technology be used most effectively to support and assess student learning?
Students can use various programs and research tools to connect to other resources and get answers as well as communicate with other students. Teachers can also have students print out and save what they have worked on so they can monitor students' progress.
